I could set up an account effortlessly just by taking a few simple steps:

After that, I was redirected to the main page and asked to confirm my email address. Ten additional bonuses are granted to those who don’t skip this step.

Your email will be your AmourMeet login. Of course, a user should go to Profile Settings to add more information—with a low-effort profile, you just won’t get any attention on the website.

Search and filters

There are two main ways to find matches on AmourMeet: 

1. Through classic search. There are only two basic filters—age range and online status. If you extend the search, though, you’ll see multiple advanced search filters. In particular, members can set criteria like country, city, height, body type, eye color, hair color, occupation, marital status, education, the reason for using the website, religion, children, desire to have more children, and habits like smoking and alcohol.   
2. Through swiping. If you’ve even been using a mainstream dating app, you know how this feature works. The only difference is that you don’t have to match with someone to start a conversation—there’s a Write a Message button next to each profile you see, so you can contact anyone you like right away. 

I must admit that there are enough useful search filters to find the best potential matches easily. However, I couldn’t save my searches, which meant that each time I visited the website, I had to set the search criteria again.

Also, there are no filters that would allow me to see people with a certain number of photos and profile videos, which is not the most serious yet still a drawback.

As I’ve noted previously, the profile quality on Amour Meet is very high. The thing is, everyone can create a detailed profile easily, and considering that most members prefer to do it, the competition gets higher. This makes all other users add more photos and information about themselves and the dream partner they are looking for.

Here’s how everyone can create a competitive profile on AmourMeet.com: 

1. Add photos and choose an avatar. The AmourMeet watermark will be automatically added to each picture. 
2. Check basic information. This is the information you provided when signing up—your age, name, and location. Check if everything is correct and add the city you’re currently based in. 
3. Add “About Myself” details. These are important details that I’ve already listed when talking about the search filters. A user can provide information on multiple important aspects, from education and marital status to habits, religion, and relationship goals. 
4. Add “Member You’re Looking For” details. Exactly the same information can be added about the match you’d like to find on AmourMeet.  
5. Write bios. There are two separate sections for descriptions—the section where a member describes their life, preferences, and personality, and the section where a user is supposed to describe the partner they’d like to meet on the website. 

What I appreciate most about AmourMeet profiles is that most members really think about what they’re going to say in their bios. It’s pretty hard to find a user without the Self-Summary, or I Am Looking For summary.

There are not so many communication features on the website, but all of them are effective. Here’s how I could contact others on AmourMeet.com: 

• By using the Say Hello feature. If you don’t know how to start a conversation, there’s an easy way to do it. Members can click Say Hello and choose one of the first message templates (the response rate for such messages is a bit lower, though).
• By starting live chats. There’s a good online messenger with an opportunity to exchange media files. 
• By sending Letters. If you prefer writing long emails instead of texting, it will be your favorite feature. 
• By sending video and audio messages. There’s no classic video chat, but there’s an opportunity to send such messages, which is a pretty good alternative. 

Considering that AmourMeet is promoted as a website where you can possibly find a serious relationship, this is a good set of features that can help a user get to know someone attractive without any difficulty.

Design and usability

AmourMeet is a modern and user-friendly website, but it’s hard to say it is incredibly stylish. You’ll see all the main features on the Main Menu. You can go to the Search Page, watch the Tutorial, or open your inbox with just one click. 

It goes both for the desktop and mobile versions of the website, but I personally liked using the website in a mobile browser better.  You’ll hardly experience any difficulty when sending Letters or texting, either. The online messenger and the Letter service work pretty much like all top online messenger and email services.

The only way to reach the customer support team is to submit the request right on the website (you can find the link in the FAQ section). Unfortunately, there is no hotline or alternative way to get help, but I received the responses in less than a day when using the service.
